Delivery and packaging material

How does Happy Cashew happily reach its destination? Our dispatch and delivery process is just as essential as the careful manufacture of our products. We use eco-friendly packaging made of cellulose, which was developed specially for transporting food in chilled containers. Together with our highly efficient cool packs, Happy Cashew gets to you fresh and happy. We recommend refrigerated shipping for all cheese alternatives. If several boxes are needed, we bear the extra costs. After receipt, we recommend you store Happy Cashew in the refrigerator at a temperature of 4-8°C.

Here are the three components in detail:

  1. Our new eco-friendly packaging made of cellulose

Cellulose has for decades been the most-used natural insulating material in the nutrients industry. To produce it, old paper is crushed into balls and processed. This process is extremely energy-saving and does not put pressure on water or soil resources. The paper is made into fibre and finally flattened. In comparison with other ecological insulating materials, cellulose offers the lowest heat conductivity with 0.039 W/(mK).

  • Sustainable insulated packaging from recycled paper
  • Insulating layer made of cellulose fibres
  • Harmless to food and pharmaceuticals
  • Space-saving delivery and storage
  • 100% recyclable in existing waste management systems
  • High insulation and shock absorption
  • No additives

It can be recycled in three ways:

  • Simply use it again: for your next summer picnic, for example.
  • You can just cut it up and dispose of the cellulose confidently in the paper recycling. Put the plastic cover in with the plastic recycling.
  • Simply send it back to us with the collected cool packs..
  1. Sustainable cool packs

Our reusable ice packs are filled with a gel composed of water and polymers. The gel is harmless to humans and the environment.

It can be recycled in three ways:

  • Simply use it again, for your next summer picnic, for example.
  • Just cut it up and pour the gel down the drain in the kitchen accompanied by lots of water. Put the plastic cover in with the plastic recycling.
  • Simply send it back to us with the collected insulation materials – you can do this here
  1. Our sustainable cardboard packaging:

Our box consists of recycled raw materials This means you can either reuse this packaging or dispose of it with the paper recycling.
